Motivation

I've been thinking a little about what motivates a man. A man is called to provide despite the hardships, and he is called to persevere through hardship. This is a privalege that men have that comes at the cost of discipline. In some regards, a good, faithful man is a man who has been disciplined. But what motivates a man to endure hardship? Honestly, the best motivation for me is to think about a woman. What it actually is about a woman that motivates me is hard to say. Is it affection? Physical touch? Commitment? Connection? Porbably a combination of all those things in one person. Maybe, seeking out that motherly love that we had as babies.

Today was another Kingdom Hall. This one was a bit more my style. The lesson was on developing the habit of reading the scripture, best practices, and meditation. There was a lot of emphasis on the meditation part. I have begun reading poetry lately and discovered that you CANNOT understand some writing unless you can meditate empathy towards the author. I think the same is true of Bible 'poetry.'
